Dr. Ilana Newman is a board certified physician who is trained in family medicine, adolescent medicine, and hospice
& palliative medicine. She started studying acupuncture during residency because she was determined to find a better way to help her patients with chronic back pain. She completed the
UCLA Helms Acupuncture and the University of Miami Acupuncture for Physicians Courses, National Acupuncture Detox Association ear acupuncture training at Lincoln Hospital in NY, and several
Korean Hand Therapy Courses from Dr. Dan Lobash and Jong Baik Education (UK).
Dr. Newman is a voluntary assistant professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where she
teaches Auricular Acupuncture and Korean Hand Therapy as part of the Art & Science of Acupuncture for Physicians course.
